The Pink Room

At the request of our two year old daughter we painted her room pink! When it came to choosing the exact shade we did what we usually do... We picked up a few swatches from Benjamin Moore, took them home to study them over a bit, chose one and took it to Lowes to have them match it in their Olympic No-Voc paint.
Although there was so many shades to choose from, we did managed to pin one down! It's a light shade of pink but still definitely pink! It's called Pink Peony (which just so happens to be my favorite flower)!
I think it will really compliment the shabby chic decor I have in mind! We have her twin-size bed frame, box-spring and mattress, but I'm still searching for an antique iron head-board and foot-board. This is close to the look I'm going for...
Another reason I wanted color on the walls is because I chose white bedding...
...It's from Target's Simply Shabby Chic line!
I'm excited to get it all put together! We still need to paint the trim and the closet before we start setting the room up. Then I need to find more furniture!

  1. I used that color in Gracie's former room...only I painted wide stripes alternating with pink and white. It is just "pink" enough!

  3. Divine Theatre- That's a great idea! We added wainscoting to the bottom portion of the wall and painted it white. It still says little girl's room but makes it more classy.

  4. Theresa- The bedding is from Target's Simply Shabby Chic line. We ended up buying a bunk-bed so we have 2 sets... We now have a 3 1/2 year old, a 2 year old and a 7 month old... ALL girls... so pink and ruffles aren't going anywhere! ; )

  5. For turning a room into a certain color palette matching, I recommend Salamander 76 which allow for a replacement of windows profiles only, without making damage to the buidling itslef!
