Since I took down our Christmas decorations a few weeks ago our fireplace mantel has looked like this...
...Classic, but about as exciting as a winter day without snow! ...So I decided to freshen it up for spring hoping the weather outside would catch on! I actually have some big plans for our mantel, but I wasn't about to wait on that project... I wanted spring to come now! Decorating for spring is a great way to spend the last few weeks of winter! Since we had two of the same orchids (read about that story here) I decided to put one on each side of the mantel and then search the house for things that reminded me of spring!
This is what I found…
- three tulip shaped tealight holders.
- a concrete lamb (I think it's from a vintage nativity scene).
- and a small mercury glass bird.
Looking forward to spring!

ReplyDeleteThose orchids really made that mantle sing. I really like the symmetry.
