I love to eat cinnamon rolls, drink coffee and play games with my kiddos!
ReplyDeleteReading cookbooks and finding the perfect recipe to bake! There's nothing better on a cold snowy day than a warm, toasty kitchen and the anticipation of something yummy to eat.
ReplyDeleteI like to get bundled up with the kids and hook the tube to the 4-wheeler and head out to the pasture for some tubing fun!
ReplyDeleteSnuggling up on the couch with my husband and watching movies and drinking hot chocolate!
ReplyDeleteReading seed catalogs by the fireplace drinking hot chocolate! Watching the blizzard blowing outside.

Snowy days lead me to bake something so we can nibble on it all day, Anticipate a hearty dinner menu, Do one organizational project in my home, Write someone that I want to communicate with, Watch a movie with my husband (and maybe kids), read something and work a little on a quilt. I do not always accomplish each of these, but these are a few of my favorite things. Ailene Banks
ReplyDeleteAfter snuggling up with my honey, I made us breakfast and now getting ready to make a batch of my Mom's peanut butter cookies..the house will smell amazing all day from them while we watch the snow blow.
ReplyDeleteMy typical snowy day consists of sleeping in, making hot chocolate, reading a good book in the morning, making homemade popcorn in the afternoon and popping in a good movie. I also like to make a crock pot of chili followed by fresh baked cookies!
ReplyDeleteMaking fresh bread & letting it rise in front of the fireplace. Eating hearty soup for dinner with the bread (of course!). Curling up in front of the fire with hot cocoa & the kids reading books. Oh yeah...& NOT going outside! :)
ReplyDeleteWhenever a snow day blows in I enjoy the extra time with family. Of course eating something yummy and delicious is always a ton of fun so baking is the first thing that comes to my mind - chocolate chip cookies! Playing with my two little ones is also at the top of my list. Coloring, reading books, toy time or puzzles - it is all so much fun!
ReplyDeleteMy new favorite snow day activity is getting a hotel room at crown center that the hospital is paying for. These beds are comfy and best of all, free!
ReplyDeleteI love NOT having anywhere to go since our days are crazy! And just being able to spend extra time with my family. :)

These are Beautiful! I love cooking and filling up the fridge with meals for the future.

My snowy day starts with snuggling up on the sofa under my electric blanket with my laptop on my lap. I then proceed to search the MLS for $1 million + homes in warmer regions like Hawaii, in hopes of one day relocating my family to them so that snowy days will only be a memory..... :)
ReplyDeleteSip tea and curl up in my newly decorated "mommy cave" with a good book!
ReplyDeleteBy far the best is wearing layers of comfy clothes and spending quality time with my family. Board games, baking cookies, a good movie and appreciating the extra time with one another!
ReplyDeleteWe play lots of games and bake :) IF ONLY Adam got "snow days" too!
ReplyDeleteWow! Those are really neat Jaclyn! I have never seen them before. My favorite things to do on cold winter days (although we don't really get too many of those down here in florida) are bake, snuggle up with my hubby and a movie, or read a good book. Your blog is fantastic. Hope you guys are doing great!
ReplyDeleteI love curling up with my fuzzy child (pomeranian) with a cup of hot chocolate and flipping through a magazine or watching a movie while the flurries fall outside my window.
ReplyDeleteOn this particular snowy day I...enjoyed breakfast with my dad. Worked out (inside) took a few fun walks, and helped Dad shovel (briefly), came back in and got warm, made a hot Italian dinner =D
ReplyDelete...and thought about my hubby on his way through sunny Central America!
On a snowy, winter day, I love to sip hot chocolate by the fire, and delve into a stack of back issues of decorating magazines, to tear out the most inspirational pages to file. I love doing this - scribbling what I like on each page, filing them in pretty folders, & then I am ready to get those magazines out of my house to recycle! Usually, I have a drawer or basket that is busting at the seams with them, so I feel like I am cleaning at the same time!
