Office Space

A few days ago I mentioned the "mysterious area between our staircase and bathroom" that was going to become our office space. There's a reason I avoided showing it in the video tours (First Edition and Second Edition). Here's the behind-the-scenes-footage...
So now you know the secret... I had a bit of a mess. I was using this area to temporarily store some craft supplies, office things and other random stuff. At least it was contained and I'm keeping it real, right?
After doing some organizing and clearing out the space, I was finally ready to move in the desk! I had been storing it in my parent's barn for the past few months until we finished the basement. I l-o-v-e my $100 Craigslist desk! It's the perfect size for our little nook and these days it's nearly impossible to find it's quality and charm for anything near that price... plus, no accessibly required! This is a piece I would proudly hand down to my children and grandchildren someday!
Since the door to the right of the desk just goes to a small utility area, we where able to turn this otherwise, fairly use-less space, into a very functional much needed space. Plus, with a small home like ours we'll take all the space we can get!

Since the last photo was taken I have restored the finish on the desk (visit CHC tomorrow to see the transformation), but I still need to paint and reupholster the chair I found for it. This will be my first reupholstering project! I can't wait to get started on it!

Signing off from our new office space!
